🌟 DIY Pine Resin Balm: Natural Wound Healing & Skin Protection 🌟
Pine resin balm is one of my absolute favorite “back pocket” remedies — simple, powerful, and totally magical for the skin. 🌲✨If you deal with wounds, irritated skin, dryness, or want a salve that protects you from environmental chemicals (and even Morgellons), this balm is a little jar of wizardry.
I personally use it after every shower for extra hydration and protection. 🚿💧
Ready to make your own? Here’s the full guide:
🔹 Ingredients You’ll Need
Pine resin (collected fresh or purchased)
Equal amount of oil — I use Coconut Oil, but Almond or Olive Oil work beautifully 🥥
Envirem Skin Defense for added protection 🌿
Grated beeswax — approx. 1/4 cup per 1 cup of resin/oil mixture 🐝
🔹 Instructions: How to Make Pine Resin Balm
1. Combine Resin & Oil
Mix equal parts pine resin and your chosen oil.
For example: ½ cup resin + ½ cup oil.
2. Melt Gently (Safety First!)
Pine resin is flammable — melt it using a double boiler setup:
A glass bowl over a pot of simmering water.
The bowl should be heated by steam not touching the water. 🌡️💧
3. Simmer Slowly
Stir occasionally and let the resin melt fully.
This may take around 1 hour, depending on the resin.
4. Strain
Pour the mixture through a muslin cloth or fine mesh strainer to remove bark, dirt, or bits of wood. 🧼
5. Add Beeswax
Return the strained mixture to the double boiler and add:1/4 cup grated beeswax per 1 cup of oil/resin mixture.
Stir until fully melted and combined. 🧴🔄
6. Add Envirem Skin Defense
Once melted, add 2–4 sprays of Envirem Skin Defense for enhanced skin support and chemical protection. 🌿💧
7. Cool & Store
Pour into small jars or tins.
Let it cool completely until solid. 🏺❄️
✨ How to Use Your Pine Resin Balm
Apply to cuts, scrapes, irritated skin
Use after showering for hydration
Coat hands in winter
Use as a protective salve against environmental exposure
This balm is grounding, deeply nourishing, and a powerful part of any natural home apothecary. 🌿💧
Enjoy your homemade wizardry!
