Bianka’s SOS Flu Kit
Over the years, many people have asked me what I personally use when I feel something coming on. Whenever someone messages me saying they’ve caught a cold, flu, or throat infection, the first thing I usually ask is what they already have at home.
The reality is that it can be difficult to give helpful suggestions if someone doesn’t have the tools on hand when symptoms start. That’s why I decided to create this list of the remedies and supports I personally keep stocked.
These are the things that have helped me avoid getting sick many times over the years, and when I do catch something, they help keep me functional while my body works through it.
Below is my personal SOS flu kit.
Detox and Cellular Support
Clean Slate This is one of the foundational supports I reach for when my body needs help clearing toxins.
Restore Great meal replacement when you have no appetite. Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic.
If I feel like I’m coming down with something, I will often increase my intake depending on how my body feels.
Loaded with zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D.
When my appetite is low, this is another one that helps me still get nutrients into my body. It’s packed with antioxidants and supportive compounds.
Herbal Allies for Immune Support
I always keep herbs on hand for infusions, decoctions, or tinctures. These plants have been traditionally used to support immune health.
Herbal options I like to keep stocked include:
Pine needles or other conifer allies (very rich in vitamin C)
Echinacea
Rosemary
Thyme
Oregano
Chaga
Reishi
Goldenseal
Elderberry
These herbs can be used individually or blended depending on your needs.
Medicinal Foods I Keep in the Kitchen
Food can also play a powerful role in supporting the body during illness.
Some staples I always keep around include:
Garlic
Raw honey
Ginger
Lemon
Cayenne pepper
These ingredients are easy to combine into teas, broths, or immune tonics.
Additional Natural Tools
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Often used to support microbial balance.
Eye-Ver-Mek-Tine
One of the first things I personally reach for when I feel a sore throat starting.
Not all propolis products are created equal. One of the most potent sprays I’ve found is the one that I've embedded higher up.
Lung and Respiratory Support
Colloidal Silver
I sometimes drink small amounts and also use it in a nebulizer.
Nebulizer
When my throat or lungs feel affected, I nebulize a mixture of colloidal silver and Clean Slate several times daily.
Homeopathic Remedies I Keep on Hand
Homeopathy is another option I keep available depending on symptoms.
Common remedies in my kit include:
Arsenicum album
Aconite
Belladonna
Gelsemium
Rhus toxicodendron
Oscillococcinum
Final Thoughts
Everyone’s body is different, and the tools that work best for one person may not be the same for another. Over time, I’ve simply built a collection of natural supports that I keep stocked so I’m prepared whenever something begins to develop.
Having these items ready before you need them can make a big difference when your body needs extra support.
