🧠 Alzheimer’s disease has become increasingly common as the population ages, and many families have been impacted by this devastating neurodegenerative condition.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, millions of Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, and those numbers are expected to continue rising in the coming decades.

While there is currently no cure, research continues to explore factors that may help support brain health, cognitive function, and healthy aging.

One important area of focus is mitochondrial health.

Mitochondria are often referred to as the “powerhouses” of the cell because they produce the energy our cells need to function properly. In the brain, healthy mitochondria are especially important because brain cells require massive amounts of energy to communicate, repair, and protect themselves from stress and damage.

When mitochondria become damaged or dysfunctional, oxidative stress and inflammation may increase, which researchers believe may contribute to neurodegenerative processes over time.

Lifestyle habits that may support mitochondrial and brain health include:

• Regular movement and exercise • Quality sleep • Blood sugar balance • Nutrient-dense foods • Reducing toxic burden and inflammation • Supporting healthy stress levels

Certain nutrients and compounds are also being studied for their role in cellular and mitochondrial support, including NAD and quercetin.

✳️ Root’s Immune Defense Shield combines NAD and quercetin and is designed to support healthy aging, cellular protection, and mitochondrial function.

Researchers have also explored the role neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine may play in cognitive health, mood, motivation, and brain function as we age.

✳️ Root’s Zero-In is known for supporting dopamine and serotonin activity while also helping support a healthy inflammatory response in the brain and body.

While no supplement can cure or prevent Alzheimer’s disease, many people are becoming more proactive about supporting brain health long before symptoms ever appear.

🧠 Healthy aging starts with supporting the body at the cellular level.
